May 28th 2024

Interartists is delighted to announce that pianist William Youn is joining our agency for General Management. We will take over from Freitag Artists.

William Youn, celebrated for his acclaimed recordings of Mozart Sonatas and Schubert Sonatas, has now been honored with a Diapason D'Or for his inaugural orchestral album with repertoire from the “Belle Époque” released by Sony Classics in January 2024.

Today, Opus Klassik announced that William is on their shortlist in the category “Instrumentalist of the year”.

Originally hailing from South Korea, the pianist has called Munich home for several years. During this time, he has forged strong connections with various music organizations in the city, including the Munich Chamber Orchestra. Together, they are set to embark on a tour to Korea from June 19th to 23rd.

International Career

From Berlin to Seoul to New York, Youn has graced stages worldwide, performing with orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, the Belgian National Orchestra, and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. His performances have enthralled audiences in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including Wigmore Hall in London, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Pierre Boulez Saal and the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, deSingel in Antwerp, Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, and the Seoul Arts Center.
