Since her international breakthrough as Ophélie in Thomas' Hamlet at La Monnaie in 2013, Lenneke Ruiten has been increasingly in demand by the world's leading opera houses and orchestras. With a focus on opera in recent years, she performed at the Teatro alla Scala, Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, and the Salzburger Festspiele, among others. 

For future seasons, Lenneke Ruiten envisages returning more frequently to the place where she began her career: the concert stage. She looks forward to singing more solo repertoire with orchestra, as well as oratorios.

There are plans for a multi-year recording project, the first of which will be the recording of an album of Lieder by Richard Strauss with pianist Thom Janssen in November this year. In recital, she will present programmes around the themes of Fin de siècle, From Russia with Love with Thom Janssen on the piano, and a tour of Europe in songs, with piano trio.
