Deborah Cachet joins Interartists Management

We are so pleased to welcome Deborah Cachet to our Vocal & Opera roster for worldwide management, starting today!

Deborah Cachet, hailed by Gramophone as “an immensely pleasing and confident soprano – a voice to listen out for”, is proclaimed as the Young Promise of the year 2020 by Klara Radio. She won first prizes at the Concours International de Chant Baroque de Froville (2015), the New Tenuto competition (2013), and was a finalist of the 8th Antonio Cesti Competition.

The Belgian soprano is a laureate of Le Jardin des Voix 2019, the young artists programme of Les Arts Florissants. In the 2019/20 season, she sang the role of Arminda (La finta Giardiniera) all across the world, on tour with William Christie and Paul Agnew in Europe, Russia, Asia and Australia.

She is in high demand with prominent period ensembles such as Les Talens Lyriques, Les Arts Florissants, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Collegium 1704, Le Poème Harmonique, Ensemble Correspondances, il Gardellino and Holland Baroque, performing at major concert halls such as Theater an der Wien, Musikverein, Zaryadye Concert Hall, Forbidden City Concert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Philharmonie de Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Bozar, Château de Versailles and festivals such as French May (Hong-Kong), Festival de Saintes, Festival van Vlaanderen, Oude Muziek Utrecht and Innsbrucker Festwochen für Alte Musik, among others.

In the 2020/21 season, she performs the roles of Amphitrite and Ariane in La Naissance de Vénus (Lully/Collasse) with Les Talens Lyriques and Christophe Rousset at the Wiener Konzerthaus and the Cité de la Musique in Paris, the roles of La Lune, Dejanira, une Grâce française, Bellezza in the spectacular multidisciplinary baroque production Le Ballet Royal de la Nuit with Ensemble Correspondances and Sébastien Daucé. She performs as a soloist in Telemann’s Brockes Passion with Collegium 1704 and Vaclav Luks in Prague and Dresden and in a French baroque programme with Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin at the Elbphilharmonie, among other highlights.

Deborah Cachet recently impressed as Alphise (Les Boréades) in concerts in Europe and Russia with Collegium 1704 and was praised by the international press as “A dream Alphise” (Forum Opéra). Other highlights included performances as La Statue in Rameau's Pygmalion with Paul Agnew and Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Leçons de ténèbres with Les Talens Lyriques, and the unique experience of the crossover production Amor with dancer Michèle Anne De Mey and director Jaco Van Dormael at Festival van Vlaanderen, and last but not least the invitation from L'abbaye de Royaumont to sing Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro with René Jacobs and Bach cantatas with Raphaël Pichon and Christian Immler.

Despite the pandemic and the theatre closures, her December month is looking busy and full of live-streamed concerts. In the next weeks, Deborah can be heard on the following occasions:

December 8th Perpetual Night (Purcell, Blow, Dowland) with Ensemble Correspondances at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, live-streamed

December 11th Anamorfosi (Italian baroque music) with Le Poème Harmonique at the Église Saint Jean-Baptiste in Neuilly, live-streamed on Facebook

December 14th Parts of Persée by Lully with Ensemble Correspondances at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées live-streamed

December 17th, 18th, 20th, 22nd Le Ballet Royal de la Nuit at the Opéra National de Lorraine
